NCP restructures central convening committee, assigns new roles

The National Citizen Party (NCP) has restructured its central convening committee, appointing Md. Nahid Islam as convener and Akhter Hossain as member secretary.
The party announced the decision in a press release issued Friday from its temporary office at Rupayan Trade Center in Banglamotor, Dhaka.
According to the press release, Nasiruddin Patwary and Hasnat Abdullah have been appointed senior joint conveners of the restructured committee.
The joint conveners are Advocate Abdullah Al Amin, Ariful Islam Adeeb, Dr. Atik Mujahid, Abdul Hannan Masud, Ali Ahsan Junayed, Sarwar Tushar, Akram Hussain, Saleh Uddin Sifat, Dr. Mahmuda Alam Mitu, Nusrat Tabassum, Monira Sharmin, Barrister Sunny Abdul Haque, Mahbub Alam, Advocate Mujahidul Islam Shaheen, Maulana Ashraf Mahadi, Sultan Mohammad Zakaria, Jabed Rasin, Ehtesham Haque, Dilshana Parul, Pritom Das, Samanta Sharmin, Ishak Sarkar, Tarek A. Adel and A.K. Flora.
Md. Sarjis Alam and Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan have been appointed senior joint member secretaries.
The joint member secretaries are Alauddin Mohammad, responsible for international affairs; S.M. Saif Mustafiz, treasurer; Md. Nizam Uddin; Nahida Sarwar Niva; Faridul Haque; and Md. Ataullah.
Tahsin Riaz has been appointed international affairs secretary, while Ashrefa Khatun has been named assistant international affairs secretary.
Sadia Farzana Dina has been appointed office secretary, with Iftekharul Islam serving as assistant office secretary.
Advocate Zahirul Islam Musa has been appointed law secretary. Advocates Ershadul Bari and Sehayet Ullah have been named assistant law secretaries.
Zainal Abedin Shishir has been appointed publicity secretary. Mezbah Kamal Munna and Shahadat Hossain have been named assistant publicity secretaries.
Faisal Mahmud Shanto has been appointed education secretary, while Sakib Shahriar has been named assistant education secretary.
