Shibir Leader Missing for 20 Hours

Jisan Ahmed Prodhan, Central Assistant International Secretary of Bangladesh Islami Chhatrashibir and former president of the Cumilla District West unit has reportedly gone missing. Following the incident, his family has filed a general diary (GD) at Daudkandi Model Police Station.
According to family sources, Jisan Prodhan was last seen after performing Isha prayers at Daudkandi Model Mosque on Thursday night. He was last active on WhatsApp at 8:29 pm, after which his mobile phone has remained switched off.
His elder brother, Advocate Russel Ahmed, said he was supposed to return home that night, but his phone has been unreachable since after Isha prayers. His Facebook account has also been deactivated. A complaint has been lodged with the police, but his whereabouts remain unknown.
Officer-in-Charge (Investigation) of Daudkandi Model Police Station, Md. Samsul Alam Pradhan, said that a complaint has been received and an investigation is underway.
Meanwhile, Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer and opposition leader Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has expressed concern over the disappearance. In a Facebook post on Friday afternoon, he said that Jisan Ahmed Prodhan had been abducted, and more than 18 hours had passed without any information about him. He urged law enforcement agencies to take immediate action to rescue him and return him safely to his family.
