Jubo Dal holds torch procession in Sonargaon protesting AL ‘anarchy’

Members of the Jatiyatabadi Jubo Dal held a torch procession in Sonargaon of Narayanganj protesting the activities and anarchy of the banned Awami League.

The procession was held around 7:30 pm Saturday in the Mogorapara Chowrasta area of the upazila.

The procession was organized by Khairul Islam Sajib, political secretary to Narayanganj 3 constituency MP Azharul Islam Mannan. Jubo Dal leaders and activists joined the torch procession with a motorcycle rally.

Upazila BNP Publicity Secretary Selim Hossain Dipu, Sports Affairs Secretary Karim Rahman, Jubo Dal leaders Rakibul Hasan, Kaisar Ahmed, Sohel Rana, Hazrat Ali Rana, Al Amin, Omar Faruk Titu and Zahirul Islam Jony were present along with activists from different levels.

Carrying torches, the activists chanted various slogans and marched through different roads in the Mogorapara Chowrasta area. During the procession, they pledged to remain united against any kind of activity and anarchy by the banned Awami League.

A brief protest rally was held after the procession.

At the rally, Jubo Dal leaders said, “We are united to protect democracy, peace, public safety and people’s rights. Our protest against injustice, activities and anarchy will continue.”
