The Ministry of Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment has fixed the medical test fee at Tk 8,000 per person for general workers interested in going to Malaysia for employment. The ministry has requested workers not to pay more than the fixed fee. The ministry confirmed this information in a notice sent to the media on Saturday.

The notice said that no more than the fixed Tk 8,000 can be charged for the medical test. Workers have been advised to remain alert on this matter and not to contact any brokers or middlemen.

It further said that no medical center will work under any specific recruiting agency. Workers selected to go to Malaysia can undergo health tests at any approved medical center.

If any medical center demands more than the fixed fee or creates harassment, delays, or any other kind of problem, it has been requested to inform the ministry immediately. For this, an email can be sent to [email protected].

The ministry said that the activities of medical centers will be regularly monitored and inspected. If any irregularities are found, strict legal action will be taken against the relevant medical center.

The Ministry of Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment has called on workers interested in going to Malaysia, recruiting agencies, and medical centers to follow these instructions properly.
