Prime Minister calls on world leaders to work together for SDG attainment

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has called upon world leaders to work together on the basis of mutual cooperation, empathy, and shared responsibility to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

He made this call in a video message sent to the 'SDG Moment' event organized by the United Nations on Friday.

Assistant Press Secretary to the Prime Minister, K. M. Najmul Huq, confirmed the matter.

In his video message, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman said, "We are lagging far behind in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. We must now take effective action and work together in unison."

In his message, the Prime Minister emphasized strengthening international partnerships, sharing experiences, and taking collective initiatives to implement the SDGs.

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will depart Dhaka for New York, USA, Monday (September 21) to attend the high-level general debate of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 81).
