The main Eid congregation for Eid-ul-Azha will be held at the National Eidgah ground at 7:30 am. President Md. Sahabuddin and Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will attend the prayer.

In addition, cabinet members, judges, senior state officials, and foreign diplomats are expected to join the main congregation at the National Eidgah. The Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) has completed all necessary preparations for the event.

Regarding the arrangements, DSCC Administrator, Bir Muktijoddha Md. Abdur Salam said that extensive preparations have been made to ensure an orderly and comfortable Eid prayer, including modern facilities, security arrangements, and separate provisions for men and women.

An Islamic Foundation public relations official said that Maulana Mufti Muhammad Abdul Malek, the khatib of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque, will lead the main congregation as imam.

The National Eidgah ground covers a total area of about 30,000 square meters. Of this, the Eidgah tent covers 25,400 square meters. Around 35,000 devotees can offer prayers here in 121 rows.

Special arrangements have been made for VIPs, including seating for 250 male and 80 female VIPs. Among general worshippers, around 31,000 men and about 3,500 women will have separate prayer arrangements.

A total of four entry gates have been arranged for access to the Eidgah ground. Of these, one gate is for VIPs, two for general male worshippers, and one separate gate for female worshippers. For exit, a total of seven gates have been arranged, including one for VIPs, five for general male worshippers, and one separate exit gate for women.

There will be 121 prayer rows in total. This includes five rows for VIP men and one for VIP women, 65 large rows for general male worshippers, and 50 smaller rows for female worshippers. The ablution area will allow around 140 people to perform wudu at a time, with separate facilities for 113 men and 27 women.

To ensure convenience for the Muslim believers, the Eidgah will be equipped with air conditioning, sufficient fans and lights, safe drinking water, prayer carpets, and mats for VIP rows. Separate entry routes and prayer arrangements have also been made for women.

Strict security measures have been taken for the Eid congregation. The Fire Service and Civil Defence has ensured fire safety arrangements. In addition, first aid services, mobile toilets, rainwater drainage systems, and waterproof canopy structures have been set up.

To enhance the visual appeal of the Eidgah, three decorative gates have been constructed. Organizers have said that all preparations have already been completed to ensure a safe, comfortable, and spiritually serene environment for the Eid prayers.
