The main Eid-ul-Azha congregation in the capital will be held at 7:30 am at the National Eidgah Ground under the management of the Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC). President Md. Sahabuddin and Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will attend the prayer. The DSCC has completed all preparations for the event.

Along with the President and Prime Minister, cabinet members, judges, senior state officials and foreign diplomats are also expected to join the main congregation at the National Eidgah, DSCC Administrator and Freedom Fighter Md. Abdur Salam said.

He shared the information during a briefing on Monday.

The DSCC administrator said extensive arrangements have been made to ensure an orderly and comfortable Eid congregation, including modern facilities, security measures and separate arrangements for men and women. The total area of the National Eidgah Ground is around 30,000 square meters, of which 25,400 square meters has been allocated for the Eidgah pavilion. Around 35,000 worshippers can offer prayers simultaneously in 121 rows, he added.

Special arrangements have been made for 250 male VIPs and 80 female VIPs. In addition, separate prayer arrangements have been designated for around 31,000 male general worshippers and about 3,500 female worshippers. The Eidgah will have four entry gates, one for VIPs, two for male worshippers, and one separate gate for female worshippers.

A total of seven exit gates will be available. These include one for VIPs, five for male worshippers, and one separate exit gate for women. The prayer arrangement will include 121 rows in total, including five VIP male rows and one female VIP row, 65 large rows for general male worshippers, and 50 smaller rows for female worshippers.

Around 140 worshippers can perform ablution simultaneously at the wudu facilities, with separate arrangements for 113 men and 27 women. The venue will be equipped with air conditioning units, sufficient fans and lighting, safe drinking water, prayer carpets, and prayer mats for VIP rows. Separate entry routes and dedicated prayer spaces have also been arranged for women. Three decorative gates have been constructed to enhance the visual appeal of the Eidgah.

Organizers said all preparations have already been completed to ensure a safe, comfortable, and spiritually dignified Eid prayer environment for worshippers.
