Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has ordered State Minister for Liberation War Affairs Ishraque Hossain to resign from the Cabinet. The decision from the Prime Minister came right after he sparked controversy by taking up arms in an anti-drug operation.
On Sunday afternoon, after the Cabinet meeting at the Secretariat, the Prime Minister summoned Ishraque. Multiple sources at the Prime Minister's Office confirmed that he was ordered to resign there. However, the government has not yet officially announced anything on the matter.
