Youth killed after being hit by vehicle while crossing road in Bhanga

A 38-year-old man named Chhamar Ali was killed after being hit by an unidentified vehicle in Bhanga of Faridpur. The incident occurred at around 5 am Sunday in front of Bhanga Highway Police Station on the Dhaka Khulna highway.

The deceased Chhamar was the son of Chhattar Ali of Islampur upazila in Jamalpur.

Bhanga Highway Police Station SI Sohel Khan said local people reported that Chhamar and several others were traveling toward Khulna. They stopped in front of Bhanga Highway Police Station early in the morning. While crossing the road, he was hit by an unidentified vehicle traveling from Dhaka toward Khulna. Chhamar was seriously injured in the incident. He was taken to a hospital where a doctor declared him dead.

SI Sohel said efforts are underway to identify the vehicle. Legal proceedings are ongoing in connection with the incident.
