Three more children die with measles symptoms

Three more children died with measles symptoms across the country in the last 24 hours. With this, the total number of deaths from measles and measles symptoms has reached 1,012 this year.

During the same period, 1,111 new cases of measles and its symptoms were reported.

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) disclosed the information in its regular measles report on Friday.

According to DGHS data, two of the three children who died in the last 24 hours were from Chattogram Division. One was from Chattogram district and the other from Noakhali district. The other child died in Dhaka.

The report said the total number of deaths from measles symptoms has reached 1,012 from March 15 to September 11. Of them, 100 died from confirmed measles while 912 died with measles symptoms.
