Six more children die from measles and measles-like symptoms

In the last 24 hours, six more children have died from measles and measles-like symptoms in the country. This brings the total death toll to 594. During this period, an additional 1,304 people have been newly identified with measles-like symptoms.

The information was provided Tuesday afternoon by the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services.

According to the statement, six more children have died due to measles-like symptoms in the last 24 hours. However, no child has died from confirmed measles. Since March 15, a total of 504 children have died from measles-like symptoms across the country. Additionally, 90 children have died after contracting measles. This means that a total of 594 children have died from measles and measles-like symptoms during this period.

Furthermore, in the last 24 hours, 42 children have been infected with measles, while the number of patients with measles-like symptoms stands at 1,292. During this time, 1,204 children have been newly admitted to hospitals, while 1,090 children have been discharged.

According to data from the Directorate General of Health Services, from March 15 to today, the total number of suspected measles patients is 73,362, while the number of confirmed measles patients is 9,136. Among them, a total of 59,105 patients have been hospitalized, of whom 54,812 have already been discharged and returned home.
