Two more children die with measles symptoms, 979 infected

Two more children died with measles symptoms in the country over the past 24 hours, from 8 pm Monday to 8 am Tuesday. During the same period, 979 children were infected with measles or developed symptoms of the disease.
The Directorate General of Health Services reported the information in a press release issued by its control room on Tuesday.
According to the report, laboratory tests confirmed measles in 107 children over the past 24 hours. Another 872 children received treatment for measles symptoms.
According to data from the Directorate General of Health Services, 782 children have died with measles symptoms in the country from March 15 to August 11 this year. During the same period, another 98 children died after being diagnosed with laboratory confirmed measles. In total, 880 children died from measles and measles symptoms during this period.
The total number of suspected measles cases in the country has reached 138,184. Of these, 17,385 cases have been confirmed through laboratory tests. A total of 120,134 patients have been hospitalized. Of them, 115,980 have recovered and returned home after receiving treatment.
