Four more children die with measles symptoms

Four more children died with measles symptoms across the country in the last 24 hours. During this time 1,097 people were admitted to hospitals with measles and measles symptoms.

The Directorate General of Health Services disclosed the information in its latest measles report on Wednesday afternoon, September 2.

According to the report, three people died with measles symptoms in Dhaka Division alone in the last 24 hours. During the same period another person died with measles symptoms in Mymensingh Division.

From March 15 to Wednesday, a total of 983 people have died across the country with measles and measles symptoms. Of them 884 died with measles symptoms and 99 died after being infected with measles.

During this period 63 new measles cases were detected. In addition, another 1,034 people developed symptoms of the disease. With this the total number of people who have developed measles symptoms since March 15 has reached 160,184. At the same time a total of 19,447 measles cases have been detected during this period.
