Zahid Raihan, Additional Director General (Administration) of the Directorate General of Health Services.
Ministry Public Relations Officer Mahmudul Hasan said Health Minister Sardar Md. Sakhawat Hossain Bokul will speak to the media on the issue at 4 pm on Thursday.
Professor Zahid declined to comment on the findings of the investigation report, saying the health minister will present the detailed information at the press briefing.
Meanwhile, a separate special investigation committee formed by the Directorate General of Health Services over the widely discussed incident has not yet submitted its report. Officials said the report may be submitted on Thursday.
Professor Zahid said the special investigation committee was formed on Tuesday.
On May 27, the eve of Eid-ul-Azha, all six children in the post-operative ward of Ad-din Hospital suddenly fell ill in the early hours of the morning and died one after another. The incident sparked nationwide concern, grief, and outrage.
Following the incident, a three-member investigation committee was formed by the ministry on the same day.
