Another 2 children die with measles symptoms

Two more children have died with symptoms of measles in the country over the past 24 hours. During this period, 1,085 people were infected with measles or showed symptoms of the disease.
The Directorate General of Health Services released the latest measles update at 4 pm Friday, providing the information.
The Directorate General of Health Services said 900 suspected measles cases were reported in the past 24 hours, while the number of suspected measles cases reached 128,310 from March 15 to July 31. In addition, 185 confirmed measles cases were reported in the past 24 hours, while the number of confirmed cases reached 16,059 from March 15 to July 31.
A total of 110,987 people were hospitalized with suspected measles from March 15 to July 31.
The bulletin said there were no deaths among laboratory confirmed measles patients in the past 24 hours. However, two children died after developing symptoms and signs of the disease. With these deaths, a total of 96 people have died from confirmed measles, while 741 children have died from measles symptoms and suspected complications from March 15 to July 31.
