Measles and measles-like symptoms claim over 600 lives

In the past 24 hours, seven more children have died from measles and measles-like symptoms in the country. With this, the death toll has risen to 601. During this period, 1,265 new cases with measles-like symptoms have been identified.
This information was provided today, Wednesday afternoon, by the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
According to DGHS data, the number of confirmed measles deaths is 90. Additionally, 511 people have died with measles-like symptoms. In the last 24 hours, 55 confirmed measles infections have been identified. So far, a total of 9,191 people have been confirmed infected with measles.
In the same period, 1,210 children have shown measles-like symptoms, bringing the total number of suspected infections to 74,572.
