Three more children die from measles symptoms

Three more children died with measles symptoms in Bangladesh in the past 24 hours. During the same period, 1,349 children were infected with measles or developed measles symptoms.
The information was revealed in the Directorate General of Health Services’ (DGHS) latest measles update released on Friday.
According to the report, three more children died with measles symptoms in the past 24 hours. However, no child died from confirmed measles during this period.
The report also said that a total of 1,043 children had died with measles symptoms across the country since March 15. Another 104 children died from measles. This means a total of 1,147 children died from measles and measles symptoms during this period.
According to DGHS data, another 81 people tested positive for measles during the same period. This brings the total number of confirmed measles cases in the country to 22,197 since April 10.
