Three more deaths reported with measles symptoms, 1,064 infected

Three people died with measles symptoms in the country over the past 24 hours. During this period, 1,064 people were newly identified with measles symptoms or confirmed measles.
The Directorate General of Health Services reported the information in a press release sent from its control room on Saturday.
According to the press release, 980 patients with measles symptoms were identified over the past 24 hours. From March 15 to September 26, the total number of patients with measles symptoms stood at 186,813. During the past 24 hours, 84 cases of confirmed measles were reported. From March 15 to September 26, the total number of confirmed measles cases stood at 21,099.
From March 15 to September 26, a total of 165,576 people with measles symptoms were admitted to hospitals. During the same period, 158,576 people recovered and were discharged from hospitals.
The press release said three people died with measles symptoms during this period. It also said a total of 986 children had died with measles symptoms from March 15 to September 26.
