8 more die from measles and symptoms

In the last 24 hours, another eight people have died from measles and measles-like symptoms in the country. Among them, one died from confirmed measles and seven died displaying symptoms. With this, the total death toll has risen to 628. During this period, 1,185 people have been hospitalized with measles-like symptoms.
This information was provided in a message from the Directorate General of Health Services today (Monday). The data covers from 8 AM yesterday (Sunday) to 8 AM today (Monday).
According to the Directorate General of Health Services, the number of confirmed deaths from measles now stands at 92. Meanwhile, 536 people have died displaying measles-like symptoms.
One death due to confirmed measles occurred in the Dhaka division. Regarding symptomatic cases, two died in Dhaka, and one each died in Rajshahi, Sylhet, Chattogram, Mymensingh, and Rangpur. In the last 24 hours, 93 confirmed infections have been identified. So far, 9,779 people have been confirmed to have contracted measles.
During the same period, 1,092 children exhibited measles-like symptoms. This brings the total number of suspected infections to 80,104.
