Dengue and measles kill 10 in one day

Dengue and measles killed 10 people across Bangladesh on Friday - three from dengue and seven from measles.

With these latest fatalities, the overall dengue death toll from 1 January rose to 371, while the total measles death toll from 15 March climbed to 1,214.

Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) confirmed the matter and said this tally includes 1,110 deaths with measles symptoms and 104 lab-confirmed measles deaths.

During the same period, 1,135 new patients were admitted to hospitals with confirmed measles and measles symptoms, while 1,299 individuals were hospitalized with dengue.
