11 More Die from Measles, Symptoms

Another 11 people have died from measles and related symptoms across Bangladesh in the last 24 hours. During the same period, 1,315 people were admitted to hospitals with measles-like symptoms.
The deaths occurred from 8:00 am on Thursday to 8:00 am on Friday.
The Directorate General of Health Services disclosed the information today, Friday, in its regular measles situation report.
According to the report, the number of suspected measles patients in the last 24 hours stood at 1,261, while the total number of suspected measles cases recorded between March 15 and May 22 reached 60,540.
The report said 54 patients were confirmed with measles in the last 24 hours. From March 15 to May 22, the total number of confirmed measles cases rose to 8,329.
Between March 15 and May 22, a total of 47,511 suspected measles patients were admitted to hospitals. During the same period, 43,411 patients recovered and received discharge from hospitals. In the last 24 hours, nine people died from suspected measles, while the total death toll from suspected measles between March 15 and May 22 reached 414.
