Two more children die with suspected measles, 1,297 hospitalized

Two more children died with symptoms of measles in the country in the past 24 hours from 8 am Thursday to 8 am Friday.
During this period, 1,297 new patients were admitted to hospitals.
The Directorate General of Health Services shared the information in its regular press release sent from the control room on Friday.
According to the press release, no one died from confirmed measles in the past 24 hours. However, two people died with suspected measles. With this, the total number of deaths linked to measles related illnesses has reached 1,048 since April 10.
In addition, 52 new confirmed measles cases were detected. At the same time, 1,245 new suspected measles cases were identified.
According to data from the Directorate General of Health Services, a total of 177,725 suspected measles cases have been reported since April 10. During the same period, 20,395 confirmed measles cases were identified.
