Five children die with measles symptoms

Five more children died with measles symptoms across the country in the past 24 hours. During this period, 1,020 people were newly reported with measles or measles symptoms.
The Directorate General of Health Services reported the information in its regular measles report on Saturday, September 19.
According to the report, no one died from confirmed measles between 8 am Friday and 8 am Saturday. However, five people died with suspected measles.
The Directorate General of Health Services said in a statement that 178,666 people have been identified as suspected measles cases in the country since March 15. During the same period, 20,474 people were confirmed to have measles.
So far this year, 101 people have died from confirmed measles. Another 952 people have died with measles symptoms.
The report said that 157,556 people have been admitted to hospitals across the country with measles symptoms since March 15. Of them, 151,395 have recovered after receiving treatment and returned home.
