Seven More Children Die From Measles and Symptoms

Seven more children died from measles and measles-related symptoms across the country over the past 24 hours. Of them, three children died after confirmed measles infection, while four others died with measles-related symptoms.
The Directorate General of Health Services disclosed the information on Thursday in its regular measles situation report.
According to the report, the deaths occurred between 8:00 a.m. Wednesday (May 20) and 8:00 a.m. Thursday (May 21). During the same period, health authorities identified measles symptoms in another 1,423 children across the country. Since March 15, the number of patients showing measles symptoms has risen to 59,279.
Data from the health directorate showed that 208 confirmed measles cases were detected in the last 24 hours. Since March 15, authorities have confirmed measles infection in a total of 8,275 children nationwide.
