Heavy Rains Hit 8 Divisions, BMD Warns Gusty Winds

The active rain belt may bring heavy to very heavy rainfall across Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions.
Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) confirmed the matter in a weather forecast in Saturday. The sky in most parts of the country will remain mostly cloudy to overcast. A higher density of clouds will be seen in the central, southern, and eastern regions.
In another weather forecast, BMD said rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary south or southeasterly gusty or squally wind speed 45-60 kph is likely to occur over the regions of Rangpur, Dinajpur, Rajshahi, Pabna, Tangail, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Faridpur, Jashore, Kushtia, Khulna, Barishal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Cumilla, Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar & Sylhet wherein riverports shall hoist cautionary signal number one.
