Suspected in 22 cases arrested in Khulna

Police have arrested Saddam alias Marua Saddam (36), a notorious drug dealer in Khulna metropolitan area and an accused in 22 cases.

He was arrested from the Moyalpota area of the city at around 12:15 am Tuesday.

Arrested Marua Saddam is the son of Md. Selim of Nayabati area in the city.

Khalishpur Police Station Officer in Charge (OC) Shahjahan Ahmed said, “Marua Saddam is a known drug dealer in Nayabati area of the city. There are 22 cases against him including robbery, fighting and sabotage. He had been absconding for a long time. We had been looking for him.”

He said, “Based on secret information, Marua Saddam was arrested from Moyalpota in the city at around 12:15 am Tuesday. He was sent to jail on Wednesday.”
