Top terrorist David Iman arrested along with three associates

One of Chattogram’s top listed terrorists, Mobarak Hossain Iman, also known as David (25), was arrested along with three of his associates by the Jessore District Police.
They were detained during a joint operation while allegedly attempting to flee to India through the Jessore border.
The three others arrested with him are Al Islam Alif, also known as Tamal (25), of Shyampur in Dhaka, Md. Shamim (28) of Motijheel, and Md. Safayet Hossain (28) of Jatrabari.
The operation was carried out at around 3:45 am Wednesday in the Jhumjhumpur area under Jessore Kotwali Police Station.
Nine separate teams from the District Detective Branch, known as DB, and Kotwali Model Police Station jointly took part in the operation.
District Police Superintendent Syed Rafiqul Islam said, “The operation was conducted based on a requisition from Chattogram District Police. During preliminary interrogation, it was learned that the accused were planning to flee illegally to India through Jessore to evade arrest.”
Police said that after the arrest, the four were handed over to Chattogram Police at 10 am Wednesday for legal proceedings.
The matter was confirmed by Jessore Police Superintendent Mohammad Rafiqul Islam.
The police superintendent said, “During preliminary interrogation, the detainees said they had come to Jessore to cross the border into India.”
According to police sources, David Iman is the son of Md. Musa of Kanchannagar area in Fatikchhari upazila of Chattogram. Although he once lived an ordinary life in the area, he later joined the notorious Sajjad Group in Chattogram. He subsequently became linked to multiple murders and other crimes in the city. Several photos of him holding a foreign made pistol have also circulated on social media.
