Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milon said the results of this year’s SSC and equivalent examinations have been satisfactory.
He made these remarks in a press conference held at 10 am on Monday in the conference room of the Ministry of Education.
In response to the journalist’s query, Milon added, “Why are you calling it a bad result? The result has been satisfactory.”
When asked if there was a message from him regarding teachers being very strict and not awarding marks wholeheartedly, he replied, “One can sing wholeheartedly, but marks cannot be given wholeheartedly.”
Milon announced that the answer scripts of students who apply for re-evaluation will be completely re-examined. He added, “The answer scripts of those students who apply for re-evaluation will be fully re-examined. If any mistakes have occurred anywhere, necessary measures will be taken regarding them.”
Earlier, the results of the SSC and equivalent examinations were released, showing that the average pass rate has decreased to 62.25 percent, while a total of 1,16,676 students achieved a GPA-5.
