Poor results in madrasah education, 226 institutions record no passes

No student from 312 educational institutions across the country passed this year’s SSC and equivalent examinations. The worst results were recorded under the Madrasah Education Board, where no student from 226 institutions passed the Dakhil examination.
The information was revealed today, Monday, in an analysis of the results of the 2026 SSC and equivalent examinations.
The results show that among the 9,141 educational institutions under the Madrasah Education Board, 226 had a pass rate of zero percent. In contrast, 88 institutions recorded a 100 percent pass rate.
In addition, 256 institutions under the Madrasah Education Board had pass rates between 1 and 10 percent, 603 had pass rates between 10 and 20 percent, and 3,601 had pass rates between 20 and 50 percent. Meanwhile, 4,367 institutions had more than 50 percent of their students pass but failed to achieve a 100 percent pass rate.
On the other hand, among the 18,422 institutions under the general education boards, 57 had a pass rate of zero percent. A total of 492 institutions under the general education boards recorded a 100 percent pass rate.
The formal program to announce the examination results was inaugurated today at the conference room of the Ministry of Education. Education Minister Dr. A N M Ehsanul Haque Milon inaugurated the result publication program. At the event, the chairmen of all education boards across the country handed copies of their respective boards’ results to the education minister.
