HSC failed students to get opportunity for supplementary exams

Students who appeared in the HSC, equivalent exams this year, look at their respults on mobile phone.
For the first time this year, students who have failed the HSC and equivalent examinations, will be given the opportunity to sit for supplementary exams as soon as possible.
Besides, those who cannot participate in these exams will be brought under initiatives to develop them as skilled manpower through technical education. Students who fail in a maximum of two subjects will get this opportunity.
On Saturday, Education Minister A N M Ehsanul Haque Milon inaugurated the HSC and equivalent results publication program at an event at the Secretariat.
These details were shared in the observation of the published HSC and equivalent results. The observation stated that starting this year, for the first time, failed students will be given the opportunity for quick supplementary exams.
Alternative arrangements have also been mentioned for students who, for any reason, cannot participate in the supplementary exams. Initiatives will be taken to turn them into skilled manpower through technical education.
The observation also stated that the government's ongoing activities regarding the HSC examination will continue.
Prime Minister's Advisor Mahdi Amin said in a briefing on the matter that examinees who fail in a maximum of one or two subjects will get the opportunity to retake exams only in the failed subjects within one month. This time, the number of examinees who failed in one and two subjects is 4 lakh 22 thousand 905.
Currently, in public examinations like SSC and HSC, if a candidate fails in one or more subjects, they must sit for the exam again after one year (in the following year's examination). In that case, they have the opportunity to take the exam only in the failed subjects or, if they wish, in all subjects.
But because of failing in one or two subjects, a student has to wait a long year. This causes them to fall behind in their educational life as well as creates extra mental stress.
