HSC Exams Postponed in Chattogram, Rangamati Due to Flooding

The Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations scheduled for Wednesday (July 8) have been postponed in Chattogram and Rangamati districts under the Chattogram Education Board due to flooding and adverse weather conditions.
However, examinations will be held as scheduled in Cox's Bazar, Bandarban, and Khagrachhari districts under the Chattogram Education Board, as well as under all other education boards across the country.
The announcement came in a notice issued Tuesday and signed by Prof. Syed Akhtaruzzaman, president of the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee and chairman of the Dhaka Education Board.
According to the notice, the HSC, Alim, HSC (BMT), HSC (Vocational), and Diploma in Commerce examinations scheduled for Wednesday, July 8, 2026, in Chattogram and Rangamati have been postponed because of flooding and adverse weather.
The notice also said examinations in Cox's Bazar, Bandarban, and Khagrachhari under the Chattogram Education Board, along with those under all other education boards, will be conducted according to the previously announced schedule.
The Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee said a revised schedule for the postponed examinations will be announced in a later notice.
