HSC students will hold a “Long March” program toward the Ministry of Education on Wednesday after their exams are finished.
Due to rain, waterlogging, and flooding, students held demonstrations and road blockades on Tuesday in various parts of the country, including Dhaka, to demand the postponement of exams.
Moreover, their demands included the arrangement of re-examinations for students who were unable to participate in the exams on 13 July due to adverse weather, as well as the resignation of the Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milon.
After the protest, students announced that they would carry out the program toward the Ministry of Education if the exams were not postponed by Wednesday.
However, the government announced that the exams would be held at the scheduled time. Meanwhile, parents have been seen in a state of heightened caution during the ongoing situation.
At various centers in Dhaka, it was observed that a larger number of parents than usual had arrived to take their children. They said, “they will take them home with them after the exam ends.”
