This year's Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examination results will be published today, Saturday. A results publication ceremony has been arranged at 11 am in the conference room of the Secondary and Higher Education Division of the Ministry of Education. The ceremony will be inaugurated by the Minister of Education and Primary and Mass Education, Dr. A N M Ehsanul Hoque Milon. This information was posted in a revised notification signed on October 27 by Professor Syed Akhtaruzzaman, President of the Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee and Chairman of the Dhaka Education Board. It said that results will be published simultaneously at all educational institutions across the country and online as soon as the results publication ceremony is inaugurated.

How the results can be known

Educational institutions will have to collect results from the websites https://eduboardresults.gov.bd and https://educationboardresults.gov.bd. To know about someone's result, one needs to go to the 'Result' corner of the website and download the results by entering the relevant education board and the institution's EIIN number. Examinees will also be able to collect their results from their respective educational institutions. Besides, results will be available on the two common websites of the education boards and the websites of the respective education boards.

Results can also be known via SMS on mobile phones. For this, an SMS must be sent to 16140 from any mobile number. The SMS format is: write HSC, a space, the first three letters of the board name, a space, the roll number, a space, and the examination year, then send it to 16140. In previous years, results could be known by sending an SMS to 16222, but this time in 2026 students will have to send an SMS to the new number 16140. Example: a candidate of the Dhaka Board must write HSC Dha 123456 2026 and send it to 16140.

The notification further said that results will not be available at education boards, the Ministry of Education, or newspaper offices. Meanwhile, online applications for re-examination of answer scripts can be made from November 1 to November 7. The application process and related instructions will be published on the websites of the education boards.

This year's HSC and equivalent examinations began on July 2, 2026. The written examinations were scheduled to end on August 8, but some examinations of the Chattogram Education Board were postponed due to natural disasters. The postponed examinations were held later. This time, a total of 12 lakh 70 thousand 583 candidates participated in the HSC and equivalent examinations, including regular and irregular students. However, a significant number of candidates were absent from the examinations.
