A VC appointment that was cancelled within an hour of issuance

A notification was issued by the government appointing vice-chancellors to 11 public universities across the country. However, within less than an hour of issuing the notification, the appointment of the vice-chancellor at Begum Rokeya University was canceled.
According to the canceled notification, Professor Dr. Anisur Rahman from the Marketing Department of the University of Dhaka had been appointed as the VC of Begum Rokeya University.
It has been reported that the appointment was canceled following allegations that he is the brother-in-law of Nuruzzaman Ahmed, a former social welfare minister under the Awami League government.
The new notification canceling the VC appointment at Begum Rokeya University stated: "The memoranda of the Ministry of Education dated 14 May, reference numbers 37.00.0000.079.11.181.22-206 and 37.00.0000.079.11.181.22-207, regarding Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur, are hereby canceled."
