Load shedding rises alongside heat wave in Faridpur

Load shedding is increasing in Faridpur alongside the ongoing heat wave, worsening public suffering. From the district town to the upazila and village levels, frequent interruptions in electricity supply have made daily life increasingly difficult.
In a special notice, Faridpur Palli Bidyut Samity said load shedding is occurring in various areas under its jurisdiction due to rising electricity demand and the impact of the global energy crisis.
The notice said the Faridpur Palli Bidyut Samity is currently receiving around 40 to 50 percent less electricity from the national grid than its demand. At the same time, electricity demand has increased because of the heat wave, creating additional pressure. As a result, temporary load shedding has become necessary in various areas under the samity.
The notice also said the authorities expect the situation to return to normal soon. Faridpur Palli Bidyut Samity expressed sincere regret to its customer members for the temporary inconvenience.
The samity urged customers to remain patient and cooperate with the authorities until the electricity supply situation returns to normal.
