Limon to Be Buried in Jamalpur

The remains of Bangladeshi student Zamil Ahamed Limon, who was killed in Florida, USA, has arrived in Bangladesh. The body reached Dhaka around 8 AM today. Later it was taken to his ancestral home in Lal Doba area of Karoi Chara Union under Madarganj upazila in Jamalpur district. The body is expected to reach the village between 2 PM and 3 PM.
The family has informed that Limon will be buried in the family graveyard after funeral prayers following Maghrib (evening) prayers. Relatives have already started gathering at the village home to see him for the last time. They have also demanded justice for his killing.
Limon’s uncle, Mahbubur Rahman, said that Limon was the “gem of the family.” He was sent abroad for higher education, and no one had ever imagined he would return in a coffin. He added that the body would reach the village by afternoon and the burial would be completed at the family graveyard. The funeral prayers will be held at a nearby school field, he added.
It is worth mentioning that Jamil Ahmed Limon and Nahida Sultana Brishti went missing on April 16. Later, Limon’s body was recovered on April 24. The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the incident as a homicide. In connection with the case, Limon’s roommate, Hisham Abugharbiyeh, has been arrested.
