Allegation of petrol bomb thrown at Shakib Al Hasan's house

An allegation has surfaced that a petrol bomb was thrown at the house of Shakib Al Hasan, former Member of Parliament for Magura-1 constituency and former captain of the national cricket team. The incident occurred on Wednesday around 8:45 PM at his residence in the Keshabmor area of Magura town.
Locals said that the attack targeted the upper portion of the main iron gate on the south side of the house. Upon receiving the news, a team from Magura Sadar Police Station arrived at the scene around 9:15 PM and surveyed the situation. However, no one locally could confirm who carried out the incident. Additionally, police have not yet been able to confirm whether it was indeed a petrol bomb or if some other object was thrown.
Abdul Al Mamun, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Magura Sadar Police Station, said, "We are observing the matter. The actual facts can be confirmed after the investigation is completed."
Police have launched an investigation into the incident. Authorities have stated that more details will be available once the investigation concludes.
Notably, Shakib Al Hasan had joined a press conference of Sheikh Hasina in New Delhi via live link. This incident occurred shortly after news of his participation surfaced.
