Jubodal activist shot dead in Kafrul, murder case filed

A murder case has been filed regarding the shooting death of Yusuf Ali alias Parvez, a Jubodal activist, in Kafrul, Dhaka.
Kafrul Police Station OC Saiful Islam confirmed the matter on Saturday. The victim’s brother filed the case with the police station.
Earlier, around 11:30 pm on Friday, miscreants fired and injured three people in front of Opex Garments. They were later rescued and taken to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), where doctors declared Yusuf dead.
The other two individuals remain under treatment at the hospital.
Kafrul Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Masnun Alam told, “One person has been detained with a weapon in this incident. Locals caught him and handed him over to the police. The detained individual is being interrogated. Nothing detailed is known yet.”
OC Saiful said efforts are underway to identify and arrest those involved in the incident.
