Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) Police Camp In-Charge Inspector Md Faruk confirmed the matter. The youth has been identified as Sagor Ahmed Bullet, 28. He died at 5:30 am while receiving treatment.
The victim’s younger brother, Shaon Hossain, said his elder brother worked in a lozenge factory and occasionally took on different jobs, including working as a vehicle helper for some time.
Shaon added “A young boy named Emon, 16, from Kamrangirchar used to stay with my brother. He left about a week ago. He came to the house again last night. After having dinner at night, he locked his mother Halima Begum from outside the room at 1 am and went out.
“Later, someone or some people struck his brother in various parts of the head with a sharp weapon and left him in a bloody state on the road next to Hazaribagh Park. Later, locals rescued him from there in a bloody condition. Later, we found out through the police and locals.”
Shaon mentioned, “Emon is not being found. If he were found, it might have been known who killed his brother.”
Inspector Faruk said, “The body has been kept in the hospital morgue. I informed the police station about it.”
