DMP arrests 349, files 43 cases in Dhaka drive

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 349 individuals over the last 24 hours and filed a total of 43 cases in ongoing regular operations across Dhaka.
DMP Media Center confirmed the matter in a press release on Tuesday morning.
According to the release, the arrests included 31 in the Ramna Division, 19 in Lalbagh, 35 in Wari, 29 in Motijheel, 58 in Tejgaon, 93 in Mirpur, 36 in Gulshan, 32 in Uttara, 2 by the CTTC, and 14 by the Detective Branch (DB).
During the operations, police seized 3,356 Yaba tablets, 14.52 kilograms of marijuana, 99 bottles of foreign liquor, 63 mobile phones, one passport, four knives, 80 SIM cards, five mobile chargers, and two power strips. They also rescued one victim.
Legal action is underway.
