Shapla Chattar genocide case charge sheet filed at ICT

Prosecutors filed the official charge sheet in the Shapla Chattar genocide case at the Registrar’s Office of the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) on Monday.

Chief Prosecutor Md Aminul Islam confirmed the matter and said it would be presented to the tribunal.

The individuals named as accused in the case are Sheikh Hasina and former Army Chief Aziz.

The arrested defendants include former state minister for Home Affairs Shamsul Haque Tuku, retired major general Ziaul Ahsan, former minister Dipu Moni, former inspector general of police (IGP) AKM Shahidul Haque, former Police DIG Mollya Nazrul Islam, president of the Ekattorer Ghatok Dalal Nirmul Committee Shahriar Kabir, former DIG Abdul Jalil Mondal, and journalists Farzana Rupa and Mozammel Babu.
