High Court grants bail to Barrister Suman in one case

Barrister Syed Sayedul Haque Suman

Former lawmaker Barrister Syed Sayedul Haque Suman has been granted bail by the High Court in a case filed in Habiganj.

The order was passed on Wednesday by a High Court bench led by Justice Sheikh Md. Zakir Hossain.

Lawyer Luthfe Jahan represented the bail petition before the court.

Barrister Suman was arrested from Mirpur 6 in the capital at 1:30 am on Oct. 21, 2024.

Shortly before his arrest, at around 1:15 am on Oct. 21, Barrister Suman posted on his verified Facebook account, saying, “I am going with the police. We will meet in court. Please pray for me, everyone.”

Several cases were filed against the former lawmaker at different police stations in the capital and in Habiganj.
