Case Filed Over Theft at Attorney General’s Office

A case has been filed with Shahbagh Police Station over a theft incident at the office building of the Attorney General, located in the Supreme Court area of Dhaka.
Administrative Officer Md. Nasir Uddin confirmed on Friday morning that the case was lodged following the incident, which took place late Thursday night.
According to him, a group of miscreants broke into the building around 1:15 am by removing two panes of tempered glass from the window near the lift area on the ground and second floors. The intruders managed to take one glass panel from the rear side of the building but left the other behind.
Hearing the noise, security guards Fazlul Haque and Mithun Barai, along with on-duty police personnel, rushed to the scene and chased the intruders. However, the suspects managed to escape.
The administrative officer said the Attorney General was informed immediately after the incident and directed that a case be filed at the police station. He also urged law enforcement agencies to identify those involved and their possible accomplices, and to ensure a proper investigation into the matter.
