Former Shahjalal University of Science and Technology teacher Dr. Zafar Iqbal, former Dhaka University Vice Chancellor Professor A S M Maksud Kamal, teacher K M Jamal Uddin, former Justice A H M Shamsuddin Chowdhury Manik, Chhatra League General Secretary Wali Asif Enan and three others have been named as accused in a crimes against humanity case over the attack on students at Dhaka University during the July Mass Uprising.

Prosecutor Gazi M H Tamim said on Thursday that an investigation report against them was submitted to the prosecution of the International Crimes Tribunal.

He said the draft investigation report is being reviewed. It will be submitted to the tribunal as a formal charge very soon.

Earlier, a phone conversation between Sheikh Hasina and former Vice Chancellor Maksud Kamal was presented before the tribunal in the case against Sheikh Hasina related to the July movement.
