Storm Forecast for 16 Regions by Noon

The Meteorological Department has predicted that storms may hit 16 regions of the country by noon today.

This information was posted in the BMD bulletin issued for the country's inland river ports effective 5:00 AM through 1:00 PM,  Wednesday.

According to the forecast, temporary gusty or squally winds blowing from the south or south-east at a speed of 45 to 60 km per hour may pass over Rangpur, Dinajpur, Bogura, Pabna, Tangail, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Faridpur, Khulna, Barishal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Cumilla, Chattogram, Cox's Bazar, and Sylhet regions. The Meteorological Department also noted said rain or thundershowers may occur in these areas.

River ports in these regions have been advised to hoist cautionary signal number 1.
