BMD forecasts rain, thunderstorms in 8 regions

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) said rain may hit Dhaka and other regions by Thursday afternoon.
In the weather forecast issued for the six hours from 7 am, Dhaka’s sky may remain partially cloudy to temporarily cloudy. Rain or thunderstorms may occur by noon. Wind may blow from the south or southeast direction at 10-15 kilometers per hour. Daytime temperature in Dhaka today may generally remain unchanged.
At 6 am, the temperature in Dhaka was 26.2 degrees Celsius, while air humidity was 98 percent. The minimum temperature was 26.1 degrees Celsius. From 6 am Wednesday to 6 am Thursday, 26 millimeters of rain fell in Dhaka.
In the regular weather bulletin issued on Wednesday evening, BMD said light to moderate rain or thunderstorms accompanied by temporary gusty winds may occur in many places across Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions on Thursday. Moderately heavy rainfall may occur in some parts of the country. Day and night temperatures may remain almost unchanged.
