All criminals Including Hasina will be brought back: Information Minister

Information Minister Andaleeve Rahman MP has said that all fugitive accused individuals, including Sheikh Hasina, will be brought back to ensure justice for all crimes committed during the previous period.
He said, "Sheikh Hasina is currently residing in India. According to Indian media reports, efforts are underway to resolve the matter through the judicial process. However, to ensure proper justice for all crimes of the past, including those related to the July movement, the government will bring back everyone against whom cases have been filed."
The minister made these remarks today (Tuesday) while responding to journalists' questions during a weekly briefing at the Press Information Department (PID) conference room in the Secretariat, which was organized to discuss the progress of various government activities, as reported by BSS.
The Information Minister also called for a social boycott of those who practice "intellectual fascism." He said, "We can do nothing but socially condemn and boycott those media outlets that support, promote, or practice fascism in their intellectual and ideological thinking."
Highlighting the condition of institutional systems during the previous regime, the minister said, "Over the past 17 years, all systems in the country were corrupt. After such a fragile situation, the government has taken charge and is navigating one of the most difficult periods in the country's history. In this context, we expect objective criticism from you so that we can correct our mistakes and move forward on the right path."
In response to a question about false circulation figures published by newspapers, the minister informed that the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has begun vigorous efforts to stop the dishonest practice of printing fewer copies while showing inflated circulation numbers in the lakhs.
During the event, the Information Minister unveiled the cover of a book titled "I Have a Plan: 6 Months of Democratic Journey," published by the Press Information Department, highlighting the government's special achievements over the past six months. Also present on the occasion were Deputy Minister for Information and Broadcasting Yaser Khan Chowdhury, Information and Broadcasting Secretary Mahbuba Farzana, and PID's Chief Information Officer Syed Abdal Ahmed.
