Bodies of three found in Veranda and room, Suspected Murder

Police have recovered the bodies of three members of the same family in Bagerhat. As the victims had marks of injuries to their heads, police initially suspect that they may have been deliberately murdered. The bodies were recovered Tuesday afternoon, August 4, from Chandarkola village in Raripara Union of Kachua.
The deceased were Monira Begum ( 52), wife of late Abdar Ali of Chandarkola village; her son Ahad Howlader (25); and Monira Begum’s mother, Rashida Begum (85). Rashida Begum was the wife of late Abdur Rashid of Bishnupur village in Bagerhat Sadar upazila. She had come to visit her daughter’s home a few days ago.
Kachua Police Station Sub Inspector Md. Mahmud Hasan said from the scene that several neighboring women first saw Rashida Begum’s body lying on the veranda of the house and called out to the family members. They later entered the house and found the bodies of Monira Begum and Ahad Howlader. After being informed, police arrived at the scene and recovered the three bodies.
Police initially suspect that they may have been killed two to three days ago. As the house is located in a relatively isolated area and nearby residents did not realize what had happened, the incident remained unknown.
Police said the victims had marks of injuries to their heads. Therefore, they suspect that it may have been a planned murder. However, the motive for the killings has not yet been confirmed.
The bodies are being prepared to be sent to the morgue of Bagerhat Sadar Hospital for autopsies. At the same time, police have launched an investigation to uncover the mystery surrounding the incident and identify and arrest those involved.
