Prime Minister heads to Kishoreganj

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has left for Kishoreganj by road.
His Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Rumon said the prime minister left his Gulshan residence at 9:15 am Sunday.
He said, “The prime minister will participate in several programs, including the formal inauguration of National Fisheries Week 2026 at George Institute Field in Achmita Union of Katiadi, Kishoreganj. He will leave for Dhaka in the evening after completing these programs.”
This is Tarique Rahman’s first visit to Kishoreganj since assuming office as prime minister.
Prime Minister’s schedule
At 11:30 am, the prime minister will attend a fish fry release, distribution and exchange of greetings program at the Brahmaputra River in the Mirzapur Chairman Bari Ghat area of Pakundia.
At 12:30 pm, he will visit the Katiadi Card Hatchery Complex.
At 1 pm, he will attend the inauguration of National Fisheries Week 2026 and the National Fisheries Award ceremony at the mini stadium of Achmita George Institute.
At 2:30 pm, the prime minister will inaugurate a tree planting program at the historic Sholakia Eidgah ground.
At 3:15 pm, he will have lunch at the Circuit House.
At 4 pm, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will attend a Family Card distribution program and a ceremony to provide honorariums to various religious figures, including imams, muezzins, priests, monks and pastors, at the old Kishoreganj Stadium.
