Where to Report Inflated Electricity Bills

Consumers have reported unusually high electricity bills issued in June compared to other months. The Power Division has instructed all distribution companies to investigate the issue.
In a statement issued on Monday, Muhammad Arif Sadeq, Public Relations Officer at the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources, said complaints have recently been received regarding higher-than-usual electricity bills were issued at the consumer level in June compared to other months.
He said the matter has already been directed to electricity distribution companies for proper monitoring and necessary action to reduce consumer harassment.
The Power Division has also urged consumers to contact their respective distribution companies or designated hotlines to report issues related to excessive billing.
The designated hotlines are: 16999 (Power Division central service), 16200 (PDB), 16899 (REB), 16116 (DPDC), 16120 (DESCO), 16603 (NESCO), and 16117 (WZPDCL).
